| The Planner joins the ArtistBy Kelly |
Today, while writing my pages I had a realization. The organized planner is still very much a part of me. (I was a professional event planner until just recently - still have one remaining client for the next year anyway.)
I have noticed that having an art journal is a total inspiration to me. I was wondering why. Then I realized I feel more productive when I have an idea or experiment and there is a place to put it until I can get to it or to think on it, or even to change it. Still, I know where to find those little nuggets when I need them. That is why I love having so many art journals! Different parts of what I am working on and playing with have their own dedicated place. I guess it inspires me and helps release creativity because I have freed up that mental space that was used to try to remember all the things I want to do..... especially those little "Aha!" moments or the passing "I wonder what would happen if....." moments.
Hopefully by the end of this week I will have a journal for TIME PIECES. Perhaps that will give me the nudge I need to get the second one at least started!
This is one reason I enjoy writing my pages in the mornings. It is often the time when I realize things about myself or the world around me.
